Restorative justice conferencing for victims and offenders who are going through the Nelson District Court system.

The objective of Restorative Justice Services throughout the country is to give victims of crime a voice in the justice system.

For the service to be involved the offender has to acknowledge their guilt and have a desire to ‘put it right’ with the victim. The process allows a victim, if they wish, to meet with an offender in a safe and controlled environment.
